CHClosing

July 25, 2019

I’ve made the hard decision to close CHC.

CHC began in 2001 when I started making bags during high school. What started as a way of expressing myself turned into an avenue of connecting with others through design and creativity. Six years ago, I took a heartfelt and focused risk to pursue CHC full time. With the vision to bring purpose to purchasing, I worked to provide a lasting, quality leather product that poured back into the community. I did this through hand-crafting timeless accessories and donating a percentage of profits to WINGS. In this time, I have been able to make thousands of bags, give several thousand dollars to WINGS along with ~700 hours of volunteer time.

I am deeply grateful to have worked with a community of makers, photographers, stylists, makeup artists, models, vendors and countless others while providing a delightful product for my (oh-so-appreciated) clients.

After attending school in Italy, my respect for this craft deepened and my desire to grow in it has expanded. And after much processing, I’ve decided to allow myself to grow beyond the brand. While growth requires closing down CHC, I anticipate flourishing to come.

My vision to awaken the beauty in people through creating beautiful products and experiences remains in tact; CHC is simply no longer the vehicle to my vision. My depth of gratitude for your support (every step of the way) is inexpressible.

With this in mind, I’ve updated the website with the exact inventory left on-hand with everything listed as “ready to ship” and “final sale.” This will be the last of the CHC inventory.

I am actively working on what is to come; I will keep your email on file and let you know what is next!

THANK YOU, truly.

Grace & Peace,

Chelli

"To keep going, is to believe that there is always an invitation, is a truly creative act... There's sort of a healthy defiance involved. A hoping against hope. God continues to use  creation, creativity, and the arts to point to and unlock hope, mystery, beauty, and love. An open invitation for us all."
